A Sales Tip for Effective Communication
This sales tip can help salespeople make sure that the message they are trying to share is truly understood.
The tip is based on the fact that a lot of communication is non-verbal. Some researchers believe that it is non unusual to find situations where more than half of the communication process is non-verbal.
When you are selling, remember that everything from body language to tone of voice comes into play. So to make sure you are communicating your sales message effectively, unify everything you can to send the same signal.
Something as simple as slouching in your seat when you are sitting can destroy otherwise flawless communication. You may think you are appearing relaxed but the prospect sees you as disengaged and uncommitted.
Congruent sales communication where your tone of voice, dress, posture, facial expression and vocabulary all come together is the goal.
Pull all your communications tools together. Unify them and you’ll communicate your sales messages, your sales benefits, and your sales value proposition more effectively.
